Peggy Marlene Reid

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Peggy Marlene Reid, 73, East Bernstadt, Ky., passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington.

Born July 4, 1940 in Jackson County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Orville and Ruby Napier Robinson. She was a retired employee of General Motors.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Laretta Reid; a brother, Sherman Wayne Robinson; a sister, Edith Reynolds; and two grandchildren, Ryan Reid and Anthony Reid.

She is survived by her children, Lisa Downs of East Bernstadt and Tony Reid of Indianapolis; siblings, Wendell Robinson, Delain Robinson, Roland Robinson and O.P. Robinson; grandchildren, Erin Reid, Brooke Downs and Brittany Downs; and great-grandchildren, Aiden Reid, Logan Shrader and Bently Shrader.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with Tim Renner and Justin Robinson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Robinson Cemetery, Black Lick in Jackson County.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today, Friday, Jan. 31 at the funeral home.
