Thomas E. Nunley

U.S. Navy veteran

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Thomas E. Nunley, 50, Plymouth, Ind., formerly of London, Ky., died of natural causes Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012.

Born Nov. 30, 1961 in London, Ky., he was the son of the late James G. Nunley and Sarah E. Young Nunley, London.

He graduated from John Glenn High School with the class of 1979 where he played football and enjoyed all sports. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served for six years.

A big fan of Notre Dame sports and the Chicago Bears, he was known as a great father with a big heart. He was a member of the Walkerton VFW Post 2239.

Mr. Nunley is survived by his mother; his wife, Teresa, and three sons, Josh T. (Ashley) Nunley, London, Ky., Tyler J. ‘T.J.’ Nunley, Plymouth, Ind., and Mike Curry, Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren, Jaxon, Alley, Lucas and Ella; four step-grandchilren, Eric Fogle, Brandon Mohammad, Christopher Mohammad and Terrance Hooten, all of Plymouth, Ind.; three brothers, Chuck (Lisa) Nunley and family, Apopka, Fla., Jim (Kathy) Nunley and family, London, and Dave Nunley and family, Charlotte, N.C.; and two sisters, Barb Nunley Smith, Daphne, Ala., and Susan Nunley (James) Lea and family, Manning, S.C.

Services were conducted at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home in Plymouth Monday, Jan. 23.
