Jerry Lee Bailey

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Jerry Lee Bailey, 60, of Amelia, Ohio, formerly of Laurel County, Ky., passed away Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Hospice of Cincinnati.  

Born on Aug. 4, 1952, in Laurel County, Ky., he was the son of the late Jim and Betty Howard Bailey.  

Survivors include his wife,  Margie Taylor Bailey of Amelia, Ohio; six children,  Tammy Lee Christy of Miamisburg, Ohio, Jimmy Bailey of Middletown, Ohio, Steve Wagenlander of Charlestown, S.C., Shari Myrick of Cincinnati, Ohio, Christy Dorgan of Jacksonville, Fla., and Denise Wagenlander of Taylor Mill, Ky.; three sisters,  Christine Arthur, Wanda Hinkle and Barbara Floyd, all of London; 11 grandchildren,  Jordan and Blake Christy, Brooklyn Gibson, Allison Wagenlander, Eric Wagenlander, Alex Myrick, Katie and Emma Dorgan, Tyler and Randy Cooper and Nicholas Wagenlander.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Seeley and a brother, Troy Bailey.

He was a former fork lift operator and an avid outdoorsman and deer hunter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Monday, Jan 21, in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Williams officiating.  

Burial will follow in the Dunn Cemetery, Laurel County.

Pallbearers will be  Sharon Dugger, Tom Myrick, Brad Christy, Winford Floyd, Nicholas and Steve Wagenlander.

The family received friends at Bowling Funeral Home after 5 p.m. Sunday.
