Judith Ann “Judy” Beatty Mehler

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Judith Ann “Judy” Beatty Mehler, 69, of Moundsville, W.Va. —  Our angel, with her sparkling brown eyes and heart of gold, flew home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 8, 2013, surrounded by her children who loved her dearly.

She was born Nov. 8, 1943, the daughter of the late Clyde and Anna Beatty.

She was retired from United Bank, was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, and loved life.

Judy loved the Lord and was never shy to spread His news, she was a good and faithful servant, she never met a stranger, and was an angel to all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Beatty; a sister, Eileen Beatty Schnell; and the love of her life, her husband, Frederick Mehler, whom she missed every day.

Survivors include two sons, Fred Mehler  of Moundsville, and Gary (Stephanie) Mehler of London, Ky.; a daughter, Christina (Chuck) Frizzell of Glen Dale, W.Va.; four grandchildren, whom she adored, Kortnee (Shawn) Phillips, Tyler Mehler, Charles “Chaz” Frizzell, and Josann “Josie” Frizzell; two great-grandchildren, Laylee Phillips, and Charlie Cox; several nieces and nephews; and numerous dear friends.

The family received friends on Tuesday, April 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. and will receive friends Wednesday, April 10 from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 9 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville with Rosary Devotions Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 610 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville with Rev. Symeon Galazka as celebrant.

Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
