LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
James Harlan “Festus” Hagan, 64, of London, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Saint Joseph London. Born on October 11, 1948, in Jefferson, Md., he was the son of the late Harlan and Lila Jean Peaslee Hagan.
Hagan was a former construction worker, a United States Navy veteran, a member of the American Legion and of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Sue Mills Hagan of London; two sons, Kevin James (Crystal) Hagan of London and Mark Festus (Crystal) Hagan of Corbin; his sister, Adora Sue (James) Harrison of Knoxville, Md.; his half-sister, Marjorie McKnight of Delaware; four grandchildren, Haley, Macy, Kristopher and Chandler Hagan; plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn his passing.
Funeral services were conducted 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Brian George officiating.
Burial followed at the Mills Cemetery in Knox County, Ky.
Pallbearers were Terry Bryant, Charlie Parker, Travis McKnight, Dalton Mills, Sam Harrison, Scotty Bush, Billy Minnick and Dennis Mills.
Military honors were conducted by the Keavy DAV.
