LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
Judy Ann Harris, 65, of Henderson, Ky., passed away Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at Saint Joseph London after an unexpected illness.
Born Oct. 24, 1947 in Corbin, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Garrett and Eulene Brassfield.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Ronald R. Harris of Henderson; her two sons, J. Mitchell Harris of London and Andrew D. Harris and his wife Kathryn of Louisville; and her brother, Harrison Erwin Brassfield of Richmond. She is also survived by close friends and extended family who mourn her passing.
As a young woman, Judy attended Sue Bennett and Union College and was employed by the Kentucky Department of Economic Security. Later she attended the nursing program in Henderson Ky., and retired from the Evansville State Hospital where she was a registered nurse. Judy was an avid reader and anglophile and enjoyed her trips to England with her friend Mary. She always thought of others before herself. She was affiliated with the Baptist faith.
A visitation for family and friends will begin at 12 noon on Thursday, Oct. 24 at Bowling Funeral Home.
A graveside service starting at 3 p.m. will be held after visitation at A.R. Dyche Memorial Park in London. The service will include the interment of her late father’s cremains.
