LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Vickie Denise Spivey, 52, Dean Hundley Road, London, Ky., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at her residence.
Born May 17, 1961 in Richmond, Ind., she was the daughter of Clarence Smith and Imogene Stepp Powell, both of Corbin, Ky.
She was a cook and affiliated with the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her parents; her husband, Randall Spivey of Dean Hundley Road; a son, Marion William French of Kokomo, Ind.; two daughters, Sinda Marie Spivey of Connersville, Ind., and Kimberly Sue Spivey of Huntington, Ind.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; her stepfather, David Powell of Corbin; stepmother, Ollie Smith of Corbin; three brothers, Hubert Eugene Rose of Cambridge City, Ind., Dennis Smith of Richmond, Ind,, and Thomas Smith of Corbin; a sister, Marsha Brooks of Richmond, Ind.; and a half-sister, Angela Clevenger of Union City, Ind.
Funeral service for Vickie Denise Spivey was conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 in London Funeral Home Chapel with Keith Carr and Randy Steeley officiating.
Burial followed in Cumberland Memorial Gardens, Lily.
Pallbearers were Hubert Eugene Rose, Dennis Smith, Thomas Smith, Darvel Lee Rader, Russell Spivey, Steve Brewer and David Brewer.
The family received friends at London Funeral Home from 6 until 9 p.m. on Friday.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to London Funeral Home toward funeral expense.
