Darlene Couch Woods

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Darlene (Couch) Woods, 58, Doshia Drive, London, Ky., passed away Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at the UK Medical Center, Lexington, Ky.

Born Oct. 23, 1955 in Oneida, Ky., she was the daughter of Jewell Barger Couch and the late Herbert Couch.

She was a homemaker and member of Garrard Holiness Church,  Garrard, Ky.

She was preceded in death by her father; and a sister, Regina Hotler.

Survivors include her mother; her husband, Stanley Woods of Doshia Drive, London; a daughter,  Reena (Earl) Philpot of London; a sister, Pauline Sparks of Manchester; a Ralph Couch of Oneida; and two grandchildren, Korey Philpot and Benjamin Philpot both of London.

Funeral service for Darlene (Couch) Woods were conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12 in London Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Roy Lane Woods, and Brother Harlan Avera officiating.

Burial followed at Hoskins Cemetery at Peabody, Ky.

Pallbearers were Korey Philpot, Benjamin Philpot, Eric Sparks, Scott Sparks, Jack Barger, Eric Philpot and Stacy Woods.

 The family of Darlene (Couch) Woods received friends at London Funeral Home after 6 p.m. today, Wednesday, Dec. 11.
