LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
Joyce Irene Brummett, 67, London, Ky., passed away on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at her residence.
She was born May 3, 1945 in Hindman, Ky., to the late Alexander Fugate and Manervia McKee Fugate.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Brummett; four brothers, R.L., Paul, George and Irvine Fugate; two sisters, Ruby Perkins and Matilda Fugate; and two great-great nephews, Seth Johns and Cole Ritchey.
She is survived by two brothers, Lloyd Fugate of Lake Lemon, Ind., and Benny Fugate of Manchester, Ky.; three sisters, Shelvia Fugate and Norma Berry, both of London, and Mary Whitaker of Maxwell, Ind.; four grandchildren, Johnny, Hannah, Aaron and Benjamin Fugate; and a host of nieces and nephews to mourn her passing.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5 in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the Rev. Verell Root officiating.
Burial followed in Rough Creek Cemetery in Laurel County.
The family received friends on Monday from 11 a.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral hour at House-Rawlings Funeral Home.
