LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Phyllis Wagers Smith, 65, London, Ky., passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014.
She was born November 18, 1948 in Laurel County, Ky., the daughter of the late Alvin “Chig” Wagers and Flossie Tuttle Wagers who survives.
She was a retired employee of the Laurel County Board of Education and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by her mother; her husband, Estill Smith; two children, Kenneth Smith and wife Kimberly Kay and Karen Massey and husband Matthew Paul, both of London; three brothers, Ray, Wendell and Harold Wagers, all of London; four grandchildren, Jordy and Chelsey Smith, and Courtney and Chase Massey; plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Besides her father she was preceded in death by a son, Roger Allen.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today, April 9 in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with David Smith and Marty Nolan officiating.
Burial will follow in Rob Smith Cemetery, Laurel County.
Visitation was after 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 8 at the funeral home.
