LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Zola Opal Hampton, 70, London, Ky., passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014.

Born May 24, 1943 in Jackson County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Wiley and Rose Tincher Moore.

She was a homemaker and was affiliated with the Macedonia United Baptist Church.

She was united in marriage to Willie Hampton who also preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons, Billy and wife Beverly, and Jerry Hampton, both of London; eight daughters, Hazel House, Vickie Jackson and husband Dale, Laura Burnette and husband Michael, Daisy Lewis and husband Tommy, Kathy Combs and husband Chris, Cindy Hampton and Judy McKinney, all of London and Janet Bowling and husband Roger of Manchester, Ky.

She was also survived by four sisters; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral service will be held at 12 noon today, April 25 in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with Jack Rogers officiating.

Burial will follow in the Old Salem Cemetery, Laurel County.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Lee Lewis, Tommy Lewis, Roger Bowling, Carter Bowling, Chris Combs, Ryan Turner and T.J. Hinkle.

Visitation was after 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
