James D. Frazier

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — ames Darell Frazier, 62, of London, Ky., passed away Monday, May 5, 2014, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Ky.

He was born on October 28, 1951, in Laurel County the son of the late Delmore Frazier and Lorena Chesnut Frazier, who survives of London.

He is also survived by five sisters, Marie House of London, Peggy Baker and husband, Felix, of Keavy, Brenda Newton of Louisville, and Dobie Frazier and Jean Warren, both of Lexington; 15 nieces and nephews; 11 great-nieces and nephews and three great-great-nieces and nephews, plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn his passing.

In addition to his father, he is also preceded in death by three sisters, Sue Slusher, Wilma “Sissy” Mays and Aileen Baker; nephew, Paul Mays, Jr. and brothers-in-law, Ray House and Paul Mays.

He was a courier for a pharmaceutical company and a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War serving in Berlin, Germany in Military Intelligence. He was affiliated with the Mormon and Baptist Church.

 Funeral service was conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 8 at Bowling Funeral Home with Damon Jones and Travis Baker officiating.

Burial followed in the McDaniel Cemetery, Laurel County. Military honors were conducted by the local DAV.

Pallbearers were Jacob and Jeremy Newton, Travis and Richard Baker and Donnie and Billy House.

The family received friends at Bowling Funeral Home after 6 p.m.Wednesday.
