LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
Juanita Moore Whicker, 69, Ky. 490, East Bernstadt, Ky., passed away Monday, May 14, 2012, at the Markey Cancer Center, Lexington, Ky.
A native of Laurel County, she was born Jan. 3, 1943, the daughter of the late James “Jim” and Florence Moore. She was employed in housekeeping at a motel and was affiliated with the Holiness faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Lonnie Wayne Whicker; a daughter, Debra Kay Whicker; sisters, Irene Moore Young and Alice Moore Lewis; brothers, Robert Moore and James Moore Jr.
Survivors include her husband, James Vernon Whicker, East Bernstadt; sons, Donnie Whicker and Ronnie Whicker, both of East Bernstadt; daughter-in-law, Margaret Whicker, London; sister, Neva Norton, Sand Gap, Ky.; seven grandchildren, Brandon Whicker, East Bernstadt, Brittany Whicker, London, Ronnie Whicker, Lexington, Ky., Tyler Whicker and Casey Whicker, both of Tarpon Springs, Fla., Matthew Whicker, East Bernstadt and Austin Whicker, London; six great-grandchildren, Tristin, Aubrey and Keeley Whicker, London, Aiden Lloyd Daniels-Whicker, Lexington, Abigail Trosper-Whicker, Corbin; and Alexander Lee Whicker, London; and a step-grandson, James Scala, New Port Rickey, Fla.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, May 18 in the chapel of London Funeral Home with Joe McQueen officiating. Burial will follow in A.R. Dyche Memorial Park, London.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Whicker, Wayne Young, Junior Clemmons, Wayland Webb, Bobby McQueen, Ronnie Cunagin, Barry Young and Ronnie Sizemore.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Thursday, May 17.
