Floyd Miracle

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Floyd Miracle, 92, Keavy Road, London, Ky., passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at his residence.

Born Aug. 31, 1920 in Lily, Ky., he was the son of the late Fred and Rachel Miracle. He was a farmer, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the DAV Chapter No. 66 of London.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Otis Miracle, Roscoe Miracle and Ray Miracle; and two sisters, Gracie Reams and Pearlie Walters.

Survivors include his wife, Bertha (Cary) Miracle, of Keavy Road; a son, Doug Miracle  of  London; three daughters, Barbara Hubbard of London, Patricia Glazier of Livingston, Texas, and Carolyn Cole of Corbin; a brother Dewey Miracle of Hazard; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4 in London Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain (MAJ) John Callihan and Della Snyder officiating.

Burial followed in McDaniel Cemetery in London with the local D.A.V. in charge of military honors.

Pallbearers were Derek Cole, Lee Hubbard, D.J. Miracle, Jamie Gitzinger, Jamie McQueen and John Smith.

Honorary pallbearer was First Lieutenant Josh Cole.

 The family received friends at London Funeral Home after 6 p.m. on Monday.
