Rev. Jesse Arvel Brummett Sr.

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Rev. Jesse Arvel Brummett Sr., 68, of London, Ky., passed away Saturday, Dec. 8 at his residence.

He was born June 13, 1944, the son of the late John Wesley Brummett and Gracie Jackson.

He was retired from the Classic Metal Vault Company in London and a member of the Salvation Station Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Calvin, Charles, Edward and George Brummett; sisters, Hazel Brummett, Dolly Hammack and Vercie Payne.

He is survived by his wife, Venita Brummett of London; sons, Jesse  (Rebecca) Arvel Brummett Jr. of Jellico, Tenn., and Douglas (Natasha) Eugene Brummett of East Bernstadt, Ky.; daughters, Christa (Melvin) Renee Coots and Terinda (Arnold) Gayle Trammell, both of Williamsburg, Ky.; brothers, Frankie Brummett of London, Ky., Delbert Brummett of Marion, Ind.; and Melvin Brummett of Marion, Ind.; sisters, Stella Owens and Veana Grimes, both of London, Ky., and Edna Faye Rigsby of Marion, Ind.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, Dec. 12 at Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Dean Jones and Archie Scott officiating.

Burial will follow at the Mt. Moriah Cemetery in London, Ky.

Pallbearers were Christopher Nieely, James Ells, Chuckie and Frank Brummett Jr., Ricki Hampton and Nathan Grimes.

Visitation was held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
