LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Harold Ray Bowman, 75, of London, Ky., passed away Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at Saint Joseph  London.

A Laurel County native he was born on Nov. 17, 1938, the son of the late Luther and Versa May Watkins Bowman.

He was a coal miner and a veteran of the United States Army.

He was united in marriage to Rosemary Weaver Bowman, who survives. He is also survived by six children, Glen Bowman and wife, Kim, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Danny Bowman and wife, Phyllis, Randall Bowman, Luther Bowman and wife, Erica, Calvin Bowman and Amanda Bowman, all of London; four sisters, Helen Velasquey of Florida, Thelma Everett and Dawn Bowman of Michigan and Wanda Jones of Manchester; six grandchildren, plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by two brothers, Caleb and Frank Bowman.

Visitation was held from 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20 until the 2 p.m. funeral hour in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with Steve Mullins officiating. Burial followed in the Pine Creek Cemetery in London.

Military honors was conducted by the local DAV.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Bowling Funeral Home to assist with funeral expense.
