LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
Orpha Edith Clark Lawson, 78, Sinking Creek Road, London, Ky., passed away Monday, April 16, 2012, at her residence.
Born May 19, 1933 in Vox, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Frank Wesley and Laura Jane Trett Clark. She was a former Kerns Bakery employee having 20 years of service, and a member of White Oak Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sons, William Willard “Red” Lawson, and Donnie Lee Lawson; and a sister, Ruth Walters.
Survivors include her husband, William Earl Lawson, Sinking Creek Road, London; two sons, Homer Ray Lawson (Patty), and Paul Edward Lawson (Valerie), both of London; four daughters, Brenda Gail Bishop (Ray), Patricia Ann Nicholson (Chris), and Debbie Lynn Phillips (Dave), all of London, and Laura Alice Evans (Doug), Georgetown, Ky.; two daughters-in-law, Carolyn Lawson and Joyce Lawson, both of London; two brothers, Willard Clark, South Carolina and Earl Clark, Ohio; two sisters, Joel Miracle, Keavy, and Lela Fredricks, London; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. today, Friday, April 20, in the chapel of London Funeral Home with Steve Wilkerson and Mike Seals officiating.
Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery, Keavy.
Pallbearers will be Clayton Allen, James Jones, Lewis Jones, Donald Lawson, Eugene Shephard, Travis Jones and Gordon Huff.
Visitation was after 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
