LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Charles Edward Hatton, 69, London, Ky., passed awau Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014.

He was born September 5, 1944 in Nicholas County, Ky., the son of the late James Richard and Alma Donahue Hatton.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Nicely Hatton; a son, Charles Brandon Hatton and a daughter, Kimberly Ann Hatton, both of London; a brother, Russell Wilson Hatton of Owensville, Ky.; two sisters, Mildred Ockerman and Dorothy Dailey, both of Sharpsburg, Ky.; four grandchildren, Maddox Gage, Charles Luke and Mason Reed Hatton and Zachery Tyrel Miller, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Jill Miller; a sister, Margaret Hawkins; and five brothers, James William, Jesse, John, Robert and James Richard Hatton Jr.

He was a retired agriculture inspector and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. today, Feb. 5 in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with Bishop David Hampl officiating.

Burial will follow in A.R. Dyche Memorial Park, London.

Pallbearers will be Zachary Miller, Robbie Hodge, Danny Evans, Randy Caulk, Elder Wood and Ken Sargent.

Visitation was after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
