David Dwight McFadden

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — David Dwight McFadden, 55, East Bernstadt, Ky., passed away peacefully Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at Hospice Compassionate Center in Richmond, Ky., after a long battle with cancer.

A native of Laurel County, he was born July 21, 1958, the son of Mary Ruby Johnson Humfleet, London, and the late Billy McFadden. He worked in sanitation at Griffin Pie Company and was a member of Faithway Pentecostal Church.

He was preceded in death by his father; step-father, William Archie Humfleet; two brothers, James McFadden and Robert McFadden; a sister, Lavonnie McFadden and Clarence (The Cat).

He is survived by his mother; his wife, Tammy McFadden of East Bernstadt; three daughters, Brittany McFadden of London, Amy Easterland of Moncks Corner, S.C., and Jennifer Shepherd of Richmond, Ky.; five sisters, Janet Fisher and husband, Mike, and Wanda Smith and husband, Dale, all of London, Melissa Heile of Morrisville, N.C., Brenda Mirabella and husband, Francis of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Deronda McFadden of Tennessee; three brothers, Wayne Humfleet and wife, Tanya of Oxford, N.C., Bill Humfleet and wife, Helen of London, and Joseph Humfleet and wife, Tammy of Russellville, Ky.; and two grandchildren, Joseph Shepherd and Zachariah Shepherd, both of Richmond, Ky.

Funeral service for David Dwight McFadden was conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12 at Faithway Pentecostal Church with Della Snyder and Dale Wyatt officiating.

Burial followed at Rough Creek Cemetery, London.

The family received friends from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. funeral hour at Faithway Pentecostal Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to London Funeral Home toward funeral expense.
