Marvin Edward Onkst


Marvin Edward Onkst, 78, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, at the Compassionate Care Center.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and served with NATO Forces in Europe including France and Italy.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Blanton Onkst, Berea; two sons; and he was the brother of Sylvia Vanhook of London.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today, Sept. 13 at Crestview Holy Sanctuary in Berea with the Rev. Achee Eads, the Rev. Harold Eads, the Rev. Richard Howard, and the Rev. Stanley Blanton officiating.

Burial with military honors will be at the Madison County Memorial Gardens.

Lakes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
