Katherine Mobley Ellison

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Katherine (Mobley) Ellison, 54, Corn Cemetery Road, London, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late Oscar and Violet Fleenor Mobley and was born in Corbin, Ky., on Sept. 15, 1958.

She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and a dietary at Marymount Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Bernard Ellison, London; a daughter, Tracy Ellison of London; a son, J.R. Ellison of London; six sisters, Vicky Williams and Betty Karr, both of London, Lola Campbell, Nancy Cornwell and Jackie Mullins, all of Hamilton, Ohio, and Becky Barton of Corbin, Ky.; three brothers, Donnie Mobley and Ricky Mobley, both of Corbin, and Pat Mobley of London. She was also blessed with three grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Frank Mobley, Joe Mobley, Ronnie Mobley, and Charles Mobley.

Funeral services for Katherine Ellison were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14 in London Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Fore and Mark Huff officiating.

Burial followed at McDaniel Cemetery in Laurel County.

Pallbearers were J.R. Ellison, Frank Eaton, Kevin Witt, Chris Williams, Chris Morgan, John Howard, Charlie Mobley and Randall Campbell.

The family received from 11 a.m. on Saturday, until the 2 p.m. funeral hour.
