Tillie Dees

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Tillie Dees, 105, of London, Ky.,, passed away Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly. 

She was a retired cook from Sue Bennett College and London City Schools; member of First Baptist Church of London; an avid quilter and seamstress.  She was also a loving, devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She leaves behind four children, Gene Harkleroad and wife, Margaret of Salado, Texas, Betty Sue Harkleroad of London, Judy Morrissette and husband, Robert of Charlotte, N.C., and Tom Harkleroad and wife, Beverly of Berea, Ky.; a brother, Walter Bussell of Lebanon, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Reba Bussell of London; 15 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild.  She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. 

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Harkleroad; second husband, Henry L. Dees; parents, Larkin Bussell and Sarah Cromer Bussell; two sons, Harold Bussell and Jack Harkleroad; three sisters and four brothers. 

Funeral service for Tillie Dees will be conducted at 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 27 in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Greg Gilpin and Dr. Terry Lester officiating. 

Burial will follow at A.R. Dyche Memorial Park. 

The family of Tillie Dees received friends after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26  at House-Rawlings Funeral Home.
