Alice Houlberg Rogers

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Alice Houlberg Rogers, 95, of London, Ky., passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly.

 She is survived by one daughter, Carol R. Burns; a twin sister, Rita E. Brengel; four grandchildren, Nicholas Burns, Russell Burns, Stephanie Rogers, David Rogers; and six great-grandchildren, Kayla, Nathan, and Erika Burns, Megan, Tate, and Samantha Burns.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. Rogers; her parents, Volmer and Sara McKee Houlberg; and a son, Stuart T. Rogers.  

A memorial service was held Sunday, April 14, at Slate Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Homer Johnson officiating.  

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request donations be made to the Sherman Congregational Church-Book of Remembrance (6 Church St., Sherman, Conn.,  06789) or the Slate Hill Baptist Church (P.O. Box 2744, London, Ky., 40743).  

House-Rawlings Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
