Harold Edwin Givens

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Harold Edwin Givens, 64, Oak Street, London, Ky., passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Saint Joseph Berea.

A Laurel County native, he was born March 11, 1949, the son of the late William and Irma Swarts Givens.

He was vice president of purchasing at Institutional Distribution and a member of Faithway Pentecostal Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Betty Madon.

Survivors include his wife,  Brenda Rains Givens of Oak Street, London; a sister, Toni Seal and husband,  Kelley of Speedwell, Tenn.; two brothers, James Givens and wife, Linda of Middlesboro, Ky., and William Givens III, of Sevierville, Tenn.; two nephews, Jeff Davis, Ewing, Va., and Jason Givens, Knoxville, Tenn.; six nieces, Lea Oakes, London, Amy Seal, Tazewell, Tenn., Jamie Givens, Harrogate, Tenn, Cindy Porter, Knoxville, Tenn., Dawn Davis, Nashville, Tenn, and Billie Givens, Oneida, Tenn; and a special uncle, Ray Givens, Oak Ridge, Tenn.

Funeral service for Harold Edwin Givens was conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 16 at Faithway Pentecostal Church at Lily with Della Snyder officiating.

Burial followed at Cumberland Memorial Gardens, Lily.

Pallbearers were Kelley Seal, Steve Rains, Jeff Davis, Richard Oakes, Sam Rains and Otto Price.

The family received friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday at London Funeral Home, and from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour of 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Faithway Pentecostal Church.
