LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Irma Louise (Woodward) Adams, 66, Laredo Drive, Lexington, Ky., formerly of Laurel County, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at her residence.
Born Nov. 13, 1946 in Pennington Gap, Va., she was the daughter of the late James B. and Kathleen Mont Woodward.
She was a teacher and a member of the Antioch Christian Church, Richmond, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Lowell Woodward; and a sister, Teresa Thomas.
Survivors include her husband, Gordon Adams, Lexington, Ky.; three sons, John Adams and Michael Adams, both of Lexington, and Kurtis Adams, Louisville; two sisters, Lois Vaughn, Bond, Ky., and Barbara Faye Nicks and husband, Jimmy, Magnolia, Texas; six brothers, James Martin Woodward and wife, Nancy, Doyle Woodward and wife, Marcella, Bill Woodward, and Larry Woodward and wife, Hilda, all of London, Ronny Woodward and wife, Vickie, Winchester, Ky., and Phillip Woodward and wife, Mary, Somerset, Ky.
Visitation was at London Funeral Home Tuesday, July 30 from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. memorial service with Elders from Mt. Olivet Church and Rebecca Church of Old Regular Baptist officiating.
