Roy L. Wilson

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Roy L. Wilson, 92, Marydell Road, London, Ky., passed away Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at the Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center, Hazard, Ky.

Born Aug. 19, 1920 in Brutus Ky., he was the son of the late Lee and Leah Burns Wilson. He was a teacher and farmer, and a U.S. Army veteran.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Janrose Sherman Wilson; three brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include a daughter, Eileen Kidd and husband, Carl, London; a son, Don Wilson and wife, Tammy, London; three grandchildren, Josh Wilson and wife, Lori, Manchester, Ky., Thomas Kidd and Andrew Kidd, both of London; and two great-grandchildren, Charlie Wilson and Elizabeth Wilson, both of London.

Visitation was from 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12 until the 1 p.m. funeral hour in the chapel of London Funeral Home with Wade Arp officiating.

Burial followed in Peters Cemetery, Laurel County.

Pallbearers were Don Wilson, Carl Kidd, Josh Wilson, Thomas Kidd, Andrew Kidd and Gene Sherman.
