John “JR” Jones

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — John “JR” Jones, 70, of London, Ky., passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013, at his residence.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Diane Weaver Jones; two children, Melissa Jones Chavies, and Roger David Jones and wife Beverly, all of London; a sister, Eva Sally; three brothers, Steve, Mike and Johnny; four grandchildren, Lesley Jones Frazier and husband Mike, David Jones, Ashleigh Hubbard and Jade Chavies; three great-grandchildren, Bailey Frazier, Rayse Frazier and Madison Vanhook.  He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.  

He was preceded in death by his mother, Molly Jones Cassidy and stepfather, Jack Cassidy; and two sisters, Wanda and Alice Faye.  

Funeral service for John “JR” Jones will be conducted at 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, July 3 in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Brother Cliff Creech and Brother Doug Wilson officiating.  

Burial will follow at Weaver Cemetery.  

The family received friends after 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 2 at the funeral home,.
