LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Phyllis Ramsey, 81, of London, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013 at her residence.
She was born Dec. 16, 1932 in Ottawar, Ohio, the daughter of the late Wallace and Irene Dickinson Maurer. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Weaver Missionary Baptist Church in London, and Grace Baptist Church in Fort Meyers, Fla. since 1999.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Ramsey Sr.; daughter, Pamela Collett Stamper; stepson Dean Ramsey Jr.; sister, Donna Hicks; and first husband, Lloyd “Red” Wagner.
She is survived by two sons, Jeff Wagner of Raleigh, N.C., and Robbie Ramsey of London; stepdaughters, Mary Allen of London, and Terri Greer of Sadieville, Ky.; brothers, Wallace Maurer of Tulsa, Okla., and David Maurer of Seguin, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21 at London Funeral Home. Rev. Ronnie Owens, Pastor Forrest DeVore, and Bro. Johnny Gabbard officiated.
Burial followed in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens, Lily.
Visitation was held at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were her grandsons and nephews.
