LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
Willard Blanton Neeley, 87, Philpot Road, London, Ky., passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at his residence.
A native of Laurel County, he was born Oct. 20, 1924, the son of the late Earl and Belvia Marcum Neeley. He was a self-employed plumber, a U.S. Army Veteran, affiliated with the Baptist faith, and London Classic Cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Hoover Neeley, Matt Neeley and Robert Neeley.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Davenport Neeley, London; a son, Terry Neeley and wife, Cathy, London; five daughters, Pamela Sue VanHook and husband, Larry, London, Donna Stayton and husband, Don, Mt. Vernon, Ky., Sandy Morgan and husband, Pete, Ohio, Billie Jo Tacs, Florida, and Wanda Jean Sandborn, Kansas; stepdaughter, Saundra Phelps and husband, Steven, London; stepson, Tim Young and wife, Teresa, London; brother, Jason Neeley, Richmond, Ky.; sisters, Daisy Hinkle, London, and Mary Earley, Vincennes, Ind.; grandchildren, Megan VanHook, Justin VanHook, Brandon Phelps, Blake Phelps, Kim Valentour and Lance Valentour, all of London; step grandson, Jason VanHook, London; great-grandchildren, Madison VanHook and Peyton Scarberry, both of London.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 27 in the chapel of London Funeral Home with Gene Greene and Bobby Helton officiating.
Burial followed in Dunn Cemetery with military honors by the local DAV.
Pallbearers were, Donnie Burkhart, Rick Webb, Mike Webb, Timmy Neeley, Chad Bishop and Bob Mercer.
Visitation was after 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
