Mollie Napier Hubbard

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Mollie (Napier) Hubbard, 90, of Club Valley Estates, London, Ky., and formerly of Clay County, Ky., passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014, at her residence.

She was born July 1, 1923 in Sizerock, Ky., the daughter of the late Jimmie and Rachael Carmack Napier. She was the owner and operator of Mollie’s Beauty Shop for 55 years, and a member of Lyttleton Baptist Church, Manchester, Ky.

She was the mother of Charles Ray Hubbard and wife, Sue of London. The grandmother of Charles Spencer Hubbard of Lexington, Ky., Jacob Acton Hubbard and Hunter Ramsey Hubbard, both of London.

She is also survived by a sister, Drucie Brown and husband, Willard; and a brother, Johnny Napier and wife, Maggie, all of Manchester; two special nephews, Jimmy Brown of Manchester, and Britt Brown of Oak Ridge, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her spouse, Charlie Hubbard; two sisters, Cleo House and Ella Gambrel; and seven brothers, Felix Dick Napier, Charlie Napier, Jim Napier, Hamblin Napier, Willie Napier, Kenneth Napier and Colonel Napier.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 25 from 5 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral hour in the chapel of London Funeral Home with the Rev. Rollin Bradshaw officiating.

Private burial will be held today, March 26 at Manchester Memorial Gardens.
