LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
William Harrison Nolan, 85, passed away at the Heritage Nursing Home in Corbin, Ky., Friday, March 13, 2013.
He was born on May 19, 1927 in Knox County, Ky., the son of the late Levi and Alta Gray Nolan.
He was the former owner of London Boat Dock and a retired cement mason.
He is survived by two children, Diana McWhorter and husband, Joe, and Kimberly Sue Hale and husband, Ronald, all of London; three sisters, Mary Mills and husband, J.R., of Barbourville, Nora Whalls and husband, Gurney, of Norwood, Ohio, and Rosie Nolan of Ohio; two brothers, E.J. Nolan and wife, Donna, of Somerset, and Don Nolen and wife, Linda, of Erlanger, Ky.; a sister-in-law, Delphia Nolen of Gray, Ky.; three grandchildren, Amanda Hale, Tony Hale and wife, Amanda and Stacey McWhorter; and a very special friend and roommate, Junior Hibbard; and special friends at Heritage Nursing Home, plus a host of friends and family to mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Lonnie Harrison Nolan; two brothers, L.C. Nolan and C.L. Nolen; and one sister Laverne Disney.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Monday, March 18, at Bowling Funeral Home with Charles Hamilton officiating.
Burial followed in the A.J. Grey Cemetery in Knox County.
