LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
Eston Miracle, 88, of Corbin, Ky., passed away Friday, March 22, 2013, at Saint Joseph London.
Born on Nov. 21, 1924, in Bell County, he was the son of the late Daniel “Dan” and Mary Elizabeth Harville Miracle. He was a former GM Corporation employee, a brick mason, a member of the Masonic Lodge in Bedford, Ind., a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of Lily Missionary Baptist Church.
He was first united in marriage to Edith Lucy Morris Miracle, who preceded him in death. He was later united in marriage to Wilma Proffitt Miracle, who also preceded him in death.
He is also preceded in death by one brother, James Miracle.
He is survived by two sons, Delbert (Linda) Miracle of Somerset, and Danny (Nancy) Miracle of Plainfield, Ind.; two sisters, Shirley (Huey) Hopkins, and Martha (John) Kennedy, both of London; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn his passing.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Chester Taylor and Wilmer Evans officiating.
Burial followed in the Locust Grove Cemetery at Keavy.
Military honors were conducted by the Keavy DAV.
Visitation was held after 6 p.m. Monday at Bowling Funeral Home.
