Altha Partin

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Altha Partin, 89, of London, Ky., passed away on Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, at Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly. 

She leaves behind three children, Janice McPhetridge and husband, Jerry Wayne of East Bernstadt, Sue Fields and husband, Rufus, and Ronald Lee Partin, all of London; son-in-law, Larry Grant of Corbin; a sister, Nannie Davis of Annville, Ky.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. 

She was preceded in death by her first husband, the Rev. Howard Partin; second husband, Earl Pennington; a daughter, Shirley Partin Grant; parents, Robert Murray and Jenny Hurley Murray; a sister, Lula Ingram; two brothers, Roy Murray and Bobby Murray. 

Funeral service for Altha Partin was conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, at Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Owen Edwards and the Rev. Denny McCowan officiating. 

Burial followed at Liberty Cemetery.

The family received friends after 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23 at Liberty Baptist Church. 

House-Rawlings Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
