LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Berdie Foister, 88, of London, Ky., passed away on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at her residence.
She leaves behind three children, Elmer Foister of East Bernstadt, Jimmy Foister and wife, Judy of London, and Bruin Logan and husband, David, also of London; daughter-in-law, Gayetta Foister of Hamilton, Ohio; special friend and daughter-in-law, Peggy Foister; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Foister; parents, J.S. Marcum and Emily Ealy Marcum; a son, Burnell Foister; a daughter, Irene Sturgill; son-in-law, Harold Sturgill; daughter-in-law, Sharon Foister; a sister, Martha Horton and a brother, Elmer Marcum.
Funeral service for Berdie Foister was conducted at 12 noon Tuesday, Nov. 26 in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Callahan officiating. Burial followed at Merrimac Cemetery.
The family received friends after 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 25 at the funeral home.
