Carrie Bowling

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Carrie Bowling, 85, of East Bernstadt, Ky., passed away at Baptist Health Corbin on Friday, Nov. 22, 2013.

She was born Jdn. 24, 1928, in Leslie County, Ky., the daughter of the late Stell and Tilda Roark.

 She was united in marriage to Ernest Bowling, who preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker and a member of Carmichael Community Church.

She is survived by two children, Barbara Roark and Ernest Keith Bowling, both of East Bernstadt; three sisters, Martha Johnson of London, Nora Hall of Corbin and Merley Howell of Ashley, Ind.; two grandchildren, Carl Roark of London and Heather Hall of Louisville, plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a child, Carter Sizemore.

Funeral service was conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24 in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Jeff Lewis officiating.

Burial followed in the Earl Bowling Cemetery at East Bernstadt.

 Pallbearers were Carl Roark, Brandon Southard, Shannon Johnson, Dwayne Parker, Scott Bowles and Lonnie Bowling.
