Jerrel Keith Chaney

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Jerrel Keith Chaney, 63, of Barbourville Street, London, Ky.,passed away Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Ky.

A native of Laurel County, he was born June 26, 1949, the son of Marjorie (Gilbert) Chaney of London and the late Cleo Chaney.

He was a security guard for the Laurel County Board of Education, and worked 29 years for Phoenix Manufacturing, and was a member of Old Salem Baptist Church.

Survivors include, a brother,  Wayne (Yvette) Chaney of London; three nieces, Marlene Chaney McKenzie, London, Misty (Brian) Judy, Frankfort, Ky., and Angel (Jeff) Subbert, Sanford, Fla.; and frour great-nieces, Lauren Prichard and Savannah McKenzie, both of London, and Elizabeth Judy and Addison Judy, both of Frankfort, Ky.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2 in the chapel of London Funeral Home with the Rev. Wilmer Evans and Dana Douglas officiating.

Burial followed at A.R. Dyche Memorial Park.

Pallbearers were John Cornett, Durwood House, Delmas House, Steve Chaney, Shawn Yantis, Bobby Williams, Mike Chaney and Eldon Hibbitts.

The family received friends at London Funeral Home after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 1.
