Carolyn Griffitts

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Carolyn Griffitts, 79, London, Ky., passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2013.

She was born on April 3, 1933 in Beverly, Ky., the daughter of the late Bige and Mary Napier Mosley.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Kings Highway Holiness Church.

She was united in marriage to Walter Griffitts who preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons, Ricky (Mary) Griffitts and Bruce Griffitts, both of London; four daughters, Teresa (Doyle) Jones, Helen (Randall) Williams and Hilda Asher, all of London and Mary (Eddie) Wagers, of Manchester; one brother, Arthur Mosley, of Leslie County; one sister, Nettie Collette of Jackson County; 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Delmer Mosley; and one sister, Wanda Davidson.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 30 in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with Marlow Napier officiating.

Burial will follow in Griffitts Cemetery, Laurel County.

Visitation was after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
