Roberta Weaver

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Roberta Weaver, 91, London, Ky., passed away Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly.

Born April 25, 1921, Johnson County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Rosetta Vanhoose Castle.

She was a homemaker and a member of Pine Hill United Baptist Church.

Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Mance Weaver; a daughter, Janice Belcher; a sister, Lora Carver; and three brothers, Willard, Jimmy and Clifford Castle.

She is survived by a son, Charles (Barbara) Weaver, of Elyria, Ohio; a sister, Beulah Joyce of Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, Greg Weaver of Lorain, Ohio, Rick Weaver of Elyria, Ohio, and Jimmy Belcher of Apache, Ariz.; two great-grandchildren, John and Michael Belcher; and one step-great-grandchild, Sara Greene of Ohio; plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn her passing.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5 in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with Jabe Smith officiating.

Burial followed in McDaniel Cemetery, Laurel County.

Visitation was after 6 p.m. Monday.
