Vadalee Acciardo

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Vadalee Acciardo, 82, of Ridings Mitchell Creek Road, London, Ky., passed away Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Ky.

Born Feb. 4, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Leander and Grace Johnson. She was an employee of the Cabinet for Health and Human Services and a member of London First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by  four sons, Dennis Acciardo of London, Gilbert Acciardo and wife, Debbie, of East Bernstadt, Dom Acciardo and wife, Robin of Richmond, Ky., and Joel Acciardo and wife, Michelle, of Fayetteville, N.C.; six grandchildren, Cristin Acciardo, London,  Grace Acciardo, East Bernstadt, Dominic Acciardo, Richmond, Ky., Marcie Dooley, Lakeland, Fla., Vincent Acciardo and Leslie Acciardo, both of Fayetteville, N.C.;  and five great-grandchildren, Braden Adams, Ellie Adams, Benjamin Dooley, Sarah Dooley and Bradlee Dooley.

Funeral service for Vadalee Acciardo was conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14 in the chapel of London Funeral Home with Jerry Lewis officiating.

Burial followed at Landrum Cemetery, East Bernstadt, Ky.

Pallbearers were Dennis Acciardo, Gilbert Acciardo, Kyle Feltner, T.C. Simpson, Matt Johnson and Matt Lewis.

The family received friends Wednesday from 6 till 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
