LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
Birchell Melton, 85, North Augusta, S.C., husband of Mildred Y. Melton, entered into rest on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Patricia (Terry) Allen and Douglas (Cheryl) Melton; daughter-in-law, Patsy; sister, Eula Lee Williams; grandchildren, Kimberly, Stephanie (Billy), Callie, Philip and Richard; and great-grandchild, Emily.
He was preceded in death by his son, Philip.
Graveside services were held on Monday, Oct. 29, at 2 p.m. at Rough Creek Cemetery in London, Ky., with the Rev. Claude Maggard officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Rowland Funeral Home of North Augusta, S.C. was in charge of arrangements.
