Gladys Carter McPhetridge

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Gladys Carter McPhetridge, 99, East Ky. 552, Keavy, Ky., passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at her residence.

A native of Laurel County, she was born Aug. 8, 1912, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Susie Carter. She was a homemaker and member of the Community Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Woodrow McPhetridge, Keavy; two sons, Leland McPhetridge, Keavy, and Randy McPhetridge, Ellijay, Ga.; two daughters, Joyce Campbell, Burlington, Ky., and Janice Preisler, Villa Hills, Ky.; three sisters, Etta Napier, Irvine, Ky., Betty Steavson, Ocala, Fla., and Billie Stamper, Brooksville, Fla.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 21, in the chapel of London Funeral Home with Keith Short officiating.

Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery, Keavy.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Carpenter, Ben Faust, Lee Faust, Wayne Clause, Paul Thomas, Russell Spears, David Posey and Bob Kindorf.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today, Friday, at the funeral home.
