LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
Violet Rose Dillion, 78, London, Ky., passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012.
A native of Laurel County, she was born June 19, 1933, the daughter of the late Burton and Louvernia Hubbard Oakley. She was a homemaker and member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilson Ray Dillion; a grandchild; and the following siblings, Dorothy Smith, Ethel Adams, Lola Oakley, Geneva Dillion, Walter Oakley, G.S. Oakley and Everett Oakley.
Survivors include three daughters, Donna Tuttle and Debbie Sue Hubbard, both of London, and Linda Carol Kelley, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; a son, Wilson Ray Dillion, Walkerton, Ind.; a sister, Bessie Creech, London; seven brothers, Burton Oakley Jr., Lonnie Oakley, Chester Oakley, Arthur Oakley, Elmer Oakley, Randall Oakley and Ronald Oakley, all of London; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 7 in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with David Hammack and Jamie Krahenbuhl officiating.
Burial followed in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Laurel County.
Pallbearers were William Tuttle, Patrick Tuttle, Ricky Dillion, Jimmy Dillion, Dwayne Dillion and David Bryant.
