Russell Wayne “Rusty” Baker

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Russell Wayne “Rusty” Baker, 41, passed away Monday, Sept. 9, 2013.

Born July 4, 1972 in Laurel County, Ky., he was the son of the late Kenneth Baker and Lois Lockaby Baker Proffitt, Lily.

He was a former construction worker, a veteran of the United States Marines and a member of the Faith Baptist Church.

He is survived by his mother; his step-father, Charles Proffitt, Lily; his wife, Tina Hensley Baker, two sons, Michael Jaden and Matthew Jacob Baker, of Lexington; a brother, Kenneth Baker, London; plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral service was conducted Thursday, Sept. 12 in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with Benny Bush officiating.

Burial followed in Cumberland Memorial Gardens, Lily.

Visitaiton was after 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
