James Clyde Ells


James Clyde Ells, 62, passed away Friday, Oct. 18, 2013.

He was born Oct. 24, 1950 in LaGrange, Ky., the son of the late Clyde James and Lilly Mae Blankenship Ells.

He was affiliated with First Baptist Church in London.

He was united in marriage to Donna Jean Clay who survives. He is also survived by six children, Crystal, Rebecca, Bobby Joe and James Ells Jr., all of London, Jamie Fuson of Corbin, and Deborah Ells of Hyden, Ky.; three sisters, Patricia Scamhorn and Mary Jo Logsdon, both of Louisville, Ky., and Margaret Harvey of Simpsonville, Ky.; and seven grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Sherry Gilliam and Bonnie Crawford; and four brothers, Ernest, Larry, Bobby Joe and Billy Ells.

Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22 in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with Terry Lester officiating. Burial followed in the Swiss Colony Cemetery, Laurel County.

Visitation was after 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21 at the funeral home.
