Beatrice L. ‘Bea’ Phillips

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —



Beatrice L. “Bea” Phillips, 77, of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Hospice of Hamilton. 

She was born December 12, 1935 in London, Ky., the daughter of the late Clay and Cimmie Cleo (Taylor) Benge. 

On July 29, 1955 in Hamilton, she married Aubrey “Bud” Phillips. She worked as a waitress at Frisch’s for 11 years, and also at Elder-Beerman for 20 years, retiring from there in 1990. 

She is survived by her husband, Bud Phillips; her three children, Debra (Mike) Thomas, Greg (Sandy) Phillips, and Cary “Caco” Phillips; four grandchildren, Ryan Phillips, Chris (Heather) Phillips, Stefani Phillips, and Caleb Phillips; great granddaughter, Piper Phillips, and three siblings, Elgene (Robert) Wysong, Edna (Paul) Owens, and Gary Benge. 

She was also preceded in death by her brother, Alvin Deverne Benge; and her sister, Joyce Benge. 

A memorial service was held at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 25 at Webster Funeral Home, 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield, Ohio. Rev. Ron Kinzer Jr. officiated. 

Visitation was held at the funeral home the same day from 5 p.m. until the funeral hour.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to Hospice of Hamilton, 1010 Eaton Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, 45013; or to Animal Friends Humane Society, 1820 Princeton Road, Hamilton, Ohio, 45011.
