LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
Tilmon Rodger Gross departed this life at his residence on Saturday, March 30, 2013.
He was born on June 27, 1949, in Laurel County, Ky., the son of the late George and Nellie Mae Taylor Gross. He was united in marriage to Beverly Sipes Gross, who survives. He was a former employee of Indiana Limestone Quarry.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Sasser and Julia Herron; and one brother, Carl Gross.
He is also survived by eight children, Luann, Timmy, Brittany and Timothy Gross, Tammy Vaughn and Angela Marsee, all of London, Robert and Rachel Gross both of Bloomington, Ind.; five sisters, Katie Sawyers of Cincinnati, Catherine Sawyers, Maggie Kirgan, Edna Simpson and Christine Broughton, all of Corbin; five brothers, George Gross Jr. and Randall Gross, both of Corbin, Bristol Gross of Mitchell, Ind., Alex Ed Gross of Edmonton, Ky. and Roscoe Gross of Bedford, Ind;, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn his passing.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 2 at the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Calvin Hibbard officiating.
Burial followed in the Taylor Cemetery, Blackwater.
Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Tuesday at the Bowling Funeral Home.
