LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Charles D. Fields Jr., 60, of London, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2103, at his residence.
A native of Laurel County, he was born Oct. 7, 1952, the son of Charles D. Fields Sr. and wife, Josephine, of East Bernstadt, and the late Verna Lee Watkins Fields.
He was a retired machinist for the railroad, a veteran of the United States Navy, and a member of the Lichliter Church of God in Jesus Name.
He is survived by his father and step-mother; his wife, Donna Taylor Fields; a daughter, Carri Whittington and husband, Josh, of London; two step-children, Summer Angel, of Corbin and Josh Angel and wife, Shawna, of London; a sister, Rita Mounce and husband, Doug, of East Bernstadt; a brother, Alan Dale Fields, of East Bernstadt; a grandchild, Morgan Whittington, of London; two step-grandchildren, Shaydon Brewer and Amber Angel, both of London; plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn his passing.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Johnson and Charlie Williams officiating.
Burial followed in the Philpot-Fields Cemetery at East Bernstadt.
Military honors were performed by American Legion Post 88.
Pallbearers were Josh Angel, Tim Lambert, Billy Joe Fields, Scott Fields, Josh Whittington, and Ryan Knipp.
