Lewis Hayes Grigsby Jr.

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —

Lewis Hayes Grigsby Jr., 82, Taylor Bridge Road, London, Ky., passed away Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at Baptist Health, Corbin, Ky.

Born March 14, 1931 in Hazard, Ky., he was the son of the late Lewis Hayes Grigsby Sr., and Margie Edwards Grigsby. He was a self-employed coal operator; a member of Corinth Baptist Church, London; and  gradauted from the University of Kentucky in 1999 with a degree in horticulture.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma (Steele) Grigsby of Taylor Bridge Road, London; two sons, George Lewis Grigsby of Clearwater, Fla., and Bill Grigsby of Louisville, Ky.; two daughters,  Carole Adams of London, and Rebecca McFarland of Louisville, Ky.; and two sisters, Billie Adkins of London, and Jean Stidham of Goodlettsville, Tenn.

Memorial services for Lewis Hayes Grigsby Jr. will be conducted at a later date.

There will be no visitation.

London Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
