Alice Welch Craft

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Alice (Welch) Craft, 84, of Miller Lane, London Ky., and formerly of Covington, Va., passed away Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 at Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin.

Born July 31, 1928 in Richmond, Va., she was the daughter of the late Charlie Jones Welch and Iola Banton Welch. She was a retired waitress and member of London Community Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Bernice Nathaniel Craft.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Hayslett and husband, Barry, of London; a son, Perry Nathaniel Craft and wife, Velda of Covington, Va.; and a granddaughter, Chasity Hunley and husband, Jason, Lexington, Ky.

Visitation was from 12:30 until the 1:30 p.m. funeral hour Monday, Oct. 8 at Loving Funeral Home, Covington, Va.

Graveside services and burial followed at 2 p.m. at Lone Star Cemetery in Potts Creek, Va., with Delmer Gross officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to, London Community Church Building Fund, 2551 Sinking Creek Road, London, Ky., 40741.

London Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
