LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Woodrow Wilder, 63, Little Arthur Ridge Road, East Bernstadt, Ky., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at his residence.

Born May 31, 1949 in Harlan County, Ky., he was the son of the late Charles and Flossie Bruce Wilder. He was a coal miner and member of Laurel Chapel Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Worley Wilder; and three grandchildren, James Lee Wesley Wilder, Joseph Wilder and John B. Grubb.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Allen Wilder, East Bernstadt;  a son, William Wesley Wilder and wife, Rachael, East Bernstadt; two daughters, Teresa Ann Wilder, Middlesboro, and Kelli Ann Wilder, East Bernstadt; four sisters, Myrna (Gene) Miracle, Miracle, Ky., Joann (James) Bennett, Wallins, Ky., Patty (Randy) McMillian, Cawood, Ky., and Frances Cress, Archdale, N.C.; a brother, Billy Ray (Linda) Stewart, Sophia, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24 in the chapel of London Funeral Home with Randall Eversole officiating.

Burial followed in Wilder Cemetery, East Bernstadt.

Pallbearers were James Miracle, Tristen Oakley, Justin Wilder, Shannon Oakley, Aaron Smith and Stevie Simpson.

Visitation was from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
